What is a Coffee hydro flask? Hydro Flask is manufactured out of insulated bottles, which are made of high-quality food-grade 18/8 stainless steel. The bottles have no liner (like most aluminum bottles) and are BPA free. I have found that it keeps my coffee warm for a long time without changing the taste.
In addition, the flask is a vacuum-sealed, stainless steel container. It comes in different sizes and shades, which I will discuss later. What really makes this beverage container special is that they last for a very long time.
Before making recommendations on which flasks are worth buying, I thought I would answer a few FAQs. Let’s get started.
Can Coffee Go In A Hydro Flask?
Yes, it can go in a flask. The next question most people ask, “How long does a hydro flask keep coffee hot?” Well, your drinks can stay hot for up to 12 hours. However, that’s when you are starting with boiling water. Also, please note, the temperature of the coffee is generally around 139–149°F. So, in essence, it will stay hot for about three to six hours. By the 12th hour, your coffee will be lukewarm. It only makes sense because everything at some point begins to cool off.
Also, many coffee drinkers talk about coffee’s acidity levels. Stainless steel can respond to highly acidic elements. But coffee is not highly acidic.
So, hot coffee can go in a Hydro flask without causing damage or changing the taste. Furthermore, if you want coffee with less acidity, go with dark roasted coffee beans. Also, if you add milk it will have even less acidity. I even use it put coffee liqueurs.
How Do You Get Coffee Stains Out Of The Hydro Flask?
Apply white distilled vinegar to remove stains and/or discoloration. The steps are super simple. See below.
- Add ½ cup of vinegar inside your flask
- Swirl the vinegar around the affected area for 5 minutes
- Use hot, soapy water to clean the inside and outside
- Let the coffee Hydro flask completely air dry
Is The Flask Leakproof?
Whether I am at home, traveling, hiking, or camping, I have never experienced leaks. It is considered leakproof because of its Flex Sip lid. Also, due to the design, it turns to unlock the opening for worry-free drinking.
I can be clumsy, so I have found the bottle to provide the best on the go coffee experience.
Hydro Flask Dent Fix
To fix a dent in a Coffee Hydro Flask bottle use a hairdryer and heat the dented spot. Next, take dry ice and rub it over the spot to make it cold. Repeat the process until the dent is out.
Keep in mind, your container doesn’t stop working just because it’s dented. The only reason you would have an issue is if the vacuum seal is compromised. That means the compartment between the inner and outer wall fills up with air.
Hydro Flask Warranty
Lifetime Warranty: Hydro Flask Coffee carries a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturer’s defects for the life of the product. Also, Hydro Flask will replace any product found to be defective within the scope of normal and appropriate use. Replacement parts will be utilized to address defects when available.

Hydro Flask Cleaning
Keep your thermos as clean as possible. It’s critical to clean it if you want to last for years. The biggest tip is to use a clean bottle brush. A bottle brush helps you hone in on all the stains that need deep cleaning and that are hard to reach. The best brush cleaner packs also come with a straw cleaner.
However, sometimes it’s not enough to just rinse your flask with soap and water.
Start by cleaning your Hydro with household items like:
- White Vinegar
- Baking Soda
Distilled white vinegar is great to give your bottle a deep clean. All you need to do is pour the vinegar inside the bottle until it covers the entire interior. Finally, leave it for five minutes before rinsing it out. Repeat this process until all discoloration disappears.
Lemon juice is also a good alternative. Lemon is a cleanser with a good anti-microbial agent. This type of agent is safe to use on flasks. How do you clean with lemon?
- Squeeze half a lemon into your container
- Fill it with warm water
- Leave it sit for half an hour
- Rinse until it’s clean (brush excess residue)
- Let it dry
For really tough stains, you might want to use baking soda. You’ll need 2 to 3 tablespoons of baking soda and warm water. To clean using baking soda use the instructions below.
- Mix the baking soda and water to form a paste. Start with a small amount of water and add as needed
- Dip your bottle brush in the paste
- Scrub your container until the stain is removed.
- Once it’s gone, use fresh warm water to rinse the bottle clean
- Verify you have removed all residue of the paste

Hydro Flask Review
For years, I searched for the perfect to-go coffee mug. They all ended up gathering dust in the back of my kitchen cabinet. Some leaked, others were difficult to clean, and many were just too big to be practical. Then, I found the Hydro Flask.
Business Insider, Sally Kaplan, Editor
I take a really long time to drink pretty much anything — be it coffee, cocktails, or a glass of water — which is why I’ve loved having this insulated mug at my desk to keep my coffee hot. I don’t have to worry about choking down a lukewarm cup throughout the morning anymore. I’m also very into the color — I have the olive green one and it’s just very pleasing. Little things, you know?
I love my 20 oz coffee Hydro Flask! it fits nicely in my hand, I really like the no-slip grip. It keeps my tea hot and my water cold. My favorite part about it is the lid, it is leak-proof and has a slight indent makes it great for drinking out of.
Keeps it so hot. Stay hot for scorching hot for at least an hour and warm for at least another hour in my opinion. Original temperature and how often you open the lid will of course influence your results. In addition, it’s durable and bright pink. The sealant ring has come loose, but I think that’s common with a lot of tumblers.
Other Awesome Thermoses
I have purchased at least seven different flasks. In addition, I purchased several more as gifts for friends, family, and workmates.
Suddenly, Hydro Flask seems to be the outdoor world’s water bottle of choice, having joined brands like Yeti in the “premium outdoor” space—that is, gear that’ll cost you, but will also last forever. Also, the Bend, Ore. company has shown up in nearly every corner of the outdoor market, pushing its colorful bottles into Hawaiian surf shops, outdoor stores across the nation, and even the executive boardrooms of huge companies, according to Popular Mechanics.

A Few Additional Tips
Hydro Flask has great temperature retention because of its technology. Two surfaces of stainless steel with a vacuum between prevent condensation and heat transfer to the boundary of the bottle.
Hydro Flask has a standard cover that has a honeycomb arrangement to help this insulation. It’s 100% leakproof, which I love because I can throw the bottle in my bag.
What separates Hydro Flasks from their competition? They pride themselves on being stylish look while giving opportunities to personalize their products.
Hydro Flask vs Yeti
